Sign-ups are now open for Merlin Cinema: Round 2

What is Merlin Cinema?

It is a fest centred around movies, where participants can take any films listed on IMDB – new, old, short, feature, animated, etc. – and turn them into Merlin fanworks. Just like Reel Merlin.

How does this work?

This year we are not running the conventional version of the fest, instead, we'll be running a lighter, more relaxed version of the fest. The theme this round is film genres. Genre is one of the most important parts of any cinematic production. It's the foundation on which a movie stands upon. So, this year, we'll be celebrating film genres! 

We have 11 delectable movie genres for you to enjoy and get inspired from such as Action, Comedy, Romance, Fantasy etc. Each day in March will be dedicated to a particular film genre and participants will post their fanworks related to the genre on that specific day. Please check out our Schedule for this year to more more about the general schedule and the genre-specific posting dates.

To participate in the fest, please read through our Info on the fest and all of our Rules and Guidelines. Even if you've read them before, make sure to read them again as we have made considerable changes and additions. Then click the Sign-up link below to sign up. Sign-ups this round run till the end of the fest, meaning you can sign-up right till the posting dates in March! You can also form collabs with other creators and create as many fanworks as you like including edits, podfics, moodboards, gifs, playlists etc on top of the general fanwork format.
